I didn’t start blogging with the intention of gaining a lot of followers or ever even getting noticed, really. I started it as a way to motivate myself to do some of the projects I had floating around in my head. And I fell in love with it from the very first time I hit ‘Publish’. I instantly loved the creative outlet it gave me and so many people (both those I knew and those I didn’t know) were supportive of it. And I’ve SO enjoyed watching it grow little by little and I’m very thankful for each of the opportunities that’s come my way because of this blog. I could do it without all of YOU!

Ok, enough gushing.

I was recently browsing through my traffic sources on Google Analytics and I saw a referral from Apartment Therapy. My first thought was, “That can’t be right.” So I clicked over only to see that someone nominated this little ol’ blog for a Homie!

If you don’t know what The Homies are…they are a super awesome award for Home and DIY bloggers. Basically The Oscars of the bloggy world. And not only did someone nominate me, but TWO whole other people voted for me!

Now obviously I was nowhere CLOSE to winning, but I am seriously over the moon just to be in the same list with all those other awesome bloggers. Seriously…it’s crazytown. So a huge resounding THANK YOU to whichever one of you sweet readers nominated me…you made my week for sure!!

And just when I thought things couldn’t get any better, the nursery was featured on Apartment Therapy on Friday! Picture my 9-month preggo self doing the running man dance when I found out about that one. Pure hilarity, I tell ya.

So for those of you who may be new here: welcome to the family! You can check out my About Me page to get to know me a little better!!

And for those of you who have been long time readers, I’m giving you all virtual bear hugs…well on second thought, my belly is really huge and you probably couldn’t fit your arms around me…sooooo…virtual high five instead!
