Pinterest Challenge: Polka Dot Hallway

The time has come for another Pinterest Challenge! I love every time these roll around because they really motivate me to get something done!!

If you’re not familiar, the lovely Katie Bower instituted this challenge as a way to get us all to stop pinning and start doing!

This time, I was feeling particularly inspired by this pin:

I love a good polka dot pattern, and I really liked the casual feeling of this particular accent wall. So I decided to tackle it for myself!

This project could not have been easier. Because I wasn’t going for any set pattern, there was no measuring or making sure that every dot was lined up. It was fantastic for this gal’s pregnancy brain…which by the way is totally a real thing.

And you know what else? This project was 100% free! I used the same foil tape that I used for this project, and on my gift wrapping at Christmas time, and on our nursery curtains! I’m really making that roll of  tape DO WERK!!

There’s really no tutorial necessary for this particular project, I simply cut out two different sizes of circles and slapped them up in the hallway between our guest bedroom, guest bathroom, and the nursery.

I love the playfulness it adds to what would normally be a forgotten space!

Have you guys been spicing up any bland walls lately? What are your favorite wall treatment ideas?

Ack! The polka dots are so fun! Way to spice up a hallway!

Do those stickers still well? Do they damage your walls at all if/when you decide to take them down?

They adhere really well! They’re actually cut from the kind of foil tape they use for duct can see more details in this post. You can see in that post that I pretty much covered an entire wall with it, and when it came time to take it down it came off really easily (I was actually shocked) and it didn’t damage our walls at all. It peeled off the paint in some spots, but no drywall damage! Our walls don’t have any texture on them, though, so if yours do, I don’t know how it would do with that. Hope that helps!

Love this! You’re making me want to go out and get some foil tape!!! It’s such a great way to add pizazz – as you’ve shown with all these projects! Keep going and the makers of foil tape are going to have to sponsor you 😉

This is great!! It looks so cute! I stenciled our hallways months ago, and it’s still one of my favorite projects!!
