Hello lemon-droppers! Today, I’m as happy as a lark because it’s finally starting to feel like fall around here! The mornings and evenings are starting to cool off and I LOVE it!

And the start of a new season means it’s time for fall decor! I think fall is my favorite season to decorate for by far. I love the colors, I love the textures, I love it all! Every fall, a few of my favorite bloggers host their “It’s Fall Y’all” parties where bloggers can link up their fall-themed decor posts. Today’s theme is tablescapes, so of course I had to get in on the action! Here’s what I came up with.

I started off by looking through my cabinets to see what I already had on hand that I could use. This is usually how I start most of my decorating adventures. Gotta use what you have! I came across a set of dishes I bought at ZGallerie on sale over a year ago. They’re brown (perfect for fall) and they each feature a different woodland creature. Inspiration! I decided to go for kind of a wild/woodsy theme and keep the color palette very simple and nature related: browns and greens.

From there, I went to Goodwill and Hobby Lobby to look for things I could use. Here’s a tip: if you’re decorating a table, Goodwill is a great source for dishes/glasses. I picked up a set of 4 glasses for under $2.00!

My favorite element of the table is of course the feather chargers. I picked up some round pieces of craft wood and feather trim from Hobby Lobby and simply glued the feather trim around the edges of the wood. Super easy, but they really add a lot to the table.

I also picked up a yard of green gingham fabric from Hobby Lobby and some no-sew hem tape and made the napkins. Again, another very easy DIY! And twine? It’s a poor woman’s napkin holder…it goes with the woodsy vibe, no?

The runner, green bowls, and amber jars were things I already had, and I just picked up some wheat/greenery stalks along with some pinecones and acorns to complete the centerpiece.

Now, I’m ready for a dinner party…who’s hungry?

I linked this up over at The Lettered Cottage and Bliss At Home.

I’m sharing this at the Dare to DIY party hosted by Decor and the DogMaybe MatildaNewly Woodwards, and Two Twenty One!)
