Two years ago, I walked down the aisle towards my best friend, sweating like a pig. Not because I was nervous, but because the air conditioning in the church had gone out and it was about 137 degrees in there. We had to put fans on the cake just to keep it from melting. One of our bridesmaids passed out during the ceremony. The day certainly did not lack those infamous “wedding day disasters” that are said to put a bride over the edge. But none of it really fazed me at all. I was just thrilled to be marrying my best friend, the love of my life.

And I’ve loved every second of being his wife and partner the past 2 years. I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect man for me.

The traditional 2nd anniversary gift is cotton. But we laugh in traditions’ face and call it names. Instead, we decided to get each other something much more special…

And for those of you who are bit slow on the uptake, WE’RE HAVING A BABY!!!

Next March, we will be welcoming our very first little lemon drop into the world and we couldn’t be more excited! So, please forgive my lack of posts recently, but we’ve been a bit pre-occupied. I promise I’ll get back to a regular posting schedule once my head stops spinning.

Thanks to all of our family and friends for their outpouring of love and support. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and I feel pretty confident in the village we’ve got!
