One of the things that’s been on my to-do list for a while is to get the guest bathroom in order. We basically haven’t touched it since we moved in, and we have guests over pretty frequently so I’d like to get it all pretty-fied!

I have a shower curtain that I got from World Market that I’m using as my jumping off point, but there are two different ways I could go with it. I know which way I’m leaning, but I thought it would be fun to make a mood board for each one and get you guys to weigh in, too!

So here’s Option #1:

That’s the shower curtain I already have, but other than that, we’ve pretty much got a blank slate. One of the first things I’m going to do is paint the vanity cabinet, and here I went with a nice, buttery yellow. I chose a new chrome light fixture to play nicely with the gray & yellow color scheme. And I’m planning to try out some beadboard on the walls. Currently the walls are just a beige color, so I’m thinking they might get painted a nice warm, white. For some reason, I really love a clean white in a bathroom. And then I’d carry the color scheme throughout with some yellow and gray toned art. Basically this option is very classic, clean, and simple. All things I love in a bathroom.

Option #2:

This option is obviously a little more bold. I would still paint the walls the same warm white color and do the beadboard on the bottom. But I would paint the vanity cabinet a cheery coral color. I have always loved the pictured towels from Anthropologie and they would work great with this scheme. With this option, I think I would go with a bronze light fixture..I think the warmer tone speaks to the color palette better. But that means I would also need to switch out the faucet (which is currently chrome) to match.

And just as an FYI, the current toilet and sink are both bisque colored (gag) and I want to switch them both out for white. The vanity countertop is also kind of a bisque colored laminate and, if I had my druthers, I could replace that as well. But I have no clue how expensive that is. Any suggestions?

So tell, me which option are you swooning for? Or maybe you hate them both and you have a better suggestion? Let me hear it!

Ooooh, both are adorable but I’m loving the second one! I’ve been really wanting to add some more coral to our home lately. And those towels and art print you have in your mood board tie in the color so well with your shower curtain!

I also vote for the second one. I love bold color! I also like those door knockers on the vanity.
