Christmas Card Tree

I don’t know about you, but getting Christmas cards is one of my favorite things about the holidays. It’s always exciting to get actual snail mail (that’s not a bill), especially when it’s a card from friends or family. So of course I wanted to find a good way to display all of our cards, rather than just stick them all on our fridge.

I love the look of the Christmas card trees I’ve seen around the web, so I headed out to the woods behind our neighborhood and collected a few branches. Then I just popped in a vase with some split green peas as a festive little vase filler (they were left over from a failed project…don’t ask. But yayy for repurposing!), and hung all of our cards with some twine.

See the split peas? Kinda festive, right?

I tried to pick out branches with lots of curves and secondary branches coming off of them so that I’d have plenty of places to hang our cards.

I’ve seen some people spray paint their branches white, but I decided I liked the natural look.

I even used some of my leftover gift tags for further holiday-ification. Oh, and that’s my sweet niece, Lyla, that you see there in the background. How adorable is she?!

Is anyone else doing any last minute decorating? How do you display your holiday cards?
